Writing and other elements of life
October 19, 2025:
Happy problems! I'm running low on books so I've asked my publisher for more. Meanwhile, I'm still chipping away on book 2. Next month I will attend the Geekery Market. Anyone in the Charlotte metro area can see me there.

October 15, 2025:
Between my book launch and travelling, I've been busy. My publisher has been selling on his website here, and I've already processed some orders on my website as well. I've been to two in-person events and sold books there as well. Now that I'm back home I'll jump back into book 2.

October 7, 2025:
I feel like a kid at Christmas. My book has now been released. It's available from my publisher and on Amazon. I hope I have this site working so you can order here as well. Let me know if you run into problems.

September 22, 2025:
I'm still working on Battle Tested. In between writing at home, my wife and I attend some Science Fiction or Gaming conventions. We just returned from 3 days at MegaMooseCon. As always, it was a lot of fun talking with people playing board games and running some role-playing games. I also updated the schcdule-of-events we plan to attend in 2026. Most have been confirmed. I notice that conventions are opening up to attendees and vendors much earlier these days.

Book 1, A New Beginning, is still slated to launch after October 7th. I'm getting very pumped and plan to update this site to be able to sell the book from here directly. Stay tuned.

August 12, 2025:
I'm working on book 2, Battle Tested. So far I'm up to 22K words. I think book 1 came in at around 94K words. I'm still settling into my new life as a retired person. I'm balancing writing with chores around the house that need to be done.

July 10, 2025:
After some editing updates my publishing date has been moved up to October!

June 29, 2025:
Cover art for "A New Beginning" has been completed!

June 8, 2025:
I'm starting this as I prepare for some big life changes. I'm retiring at the end of a 45-year career in Information Technology. My career took a number of twists and turns along the way, and I feel good that it is ending on a good note.

My idea of retiring is not to sit upon my porch in a rocking chair. But a change of direction, to embark on a new career. I plan on being a full-time writer. If you are on this site, you know that I have a book coming out this November. I plan on being able to finish the second book and have the first draft to my publisher by the time the first comes out, if not sooner. I'm an optimistic person by nature.

I'm also assisting my wife with our other on-going side business of selling tea. We've been selling it since 2008 online and since 2019 we've started selling at various Sci-fi and Gaming conventions. I will keep a list of those events on this site as we formalize them.
As I plan on cranking out more books and short stories, it may be that I'll need to attend some conventions just to sell my books. We'll see how it goes. Most of the time we'll be together.

Onward...
